Sacred Valley

After waking up in Ollantaytambo, I washed my clothes before catching a taxi. It’s pretty easy to find a taxi that offers package deals to experience all the things Sacred Valley has to offer. I paid 120/s to go to Urubamba, Moray, Maras, Chinchero and Cusco.

We drove through Urubamba, and the first place we stopped was the agricultural lab in Moray.

Donkeys hard at work.

Our next stop was Salineras de Maras! I was soo excited to see the salt mines! This was one of the main reasons I decided to come to Peru.

When I visited Chinchero, we stopped at the ruins next to the church. After checking those out, my taxi driver took me to a hut with a couple of ladies selling Incan textiles. They gave me coca tea and showed me the entire process to making the textiles out of alpaca wool.

After Chinchero, my taxi driver drove to Cusco and dropped me off there! I spent the next 3 days in Cusco!
